For families ready for something more than a short public school day, our in-house TK and Kindergarten program gives your child real academic preparation alongside the extended hours and year-round care you already count on.
Ages 4 to 5 years 11 months. 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, year round.
Academic overview
Our goal is simple: send your child into elementary school confident, capable, and genuinely excited to learn. The core curriculum covers language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, taught through songs, stories, and hands-on projects alongside more traditional methods like workbooks and sight words.
We follow our students' interests as much as any lesson plan. When a class falls in love with a story, we build elaborate books together and dig into what makes storytelling work. When a group is ready to push further in math, we go there with them. Children learn best when the material is genuinely theirs, and that's the approach we take.
Curriculum
Real academic preparation, built around who each child is.
Language Arts
Children in our TK and Kindergarten program spend real time building both reading and writing. Reading together and working toward independent reading are core parts of every week, developed through phonics, sight words, songs, and hands-on activities. Weekly journaling builds toward simple, confident sentence-writing by the end of the year.
Mathematics
Math shows up everywhere in our classroom, not just in a workbook: adding and subtracting objects, comparing sizes and weights, working with shapes. Alongside that hands-on work, children also use formal math workbooks each week. By year's end, our students are counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s, recognizing larger numbers, beginning simple addition and subtraction, and starting to understand time and money.
Social & Emotional Learning
Confidence is the real goal of this program. We want every child to head into elementary school proud of what they know and secure in who they are. We build that through class discussions, leadership opportunities around the school, individualized attention, and honest conversations about values and problem-solving.
Enrichment
Spanish instruction is part of our enrichment offerings alongside the core academic program.
A day in the program
Days move between academic learning time, hands-on projects, outdoor play, and rest, with morning and afternoon snack included at no extra cost. We're open 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, year round, so your child gets a real academic program without a schedule that shrinks over the summer or disappears on school breaks.
Continuity
Children finishing our Pre-K program move directly into this classroom on the same Baird Ave campus. No new school to vet, no new teachers to meet for the first time. Families can also enroll directly into TK/Kindergarten without prior enrollment in our Pre-K program.
